MakeUp in Paris 2026: Innovation, Trends, and Business at the Heart of the Show

MakeUp in Paris 2026: Innovation, Trends, and Business at the Heart of the Show
Ahead of the upcoming edition of MakeUp in Paris, Industries Cosmetics spoke with Asmaa Cherraf-Bonneville about the show’s ambitions, key market trends, and its strategic role for cosmetics industry players.

What can we expect from the upcoming Paris edition?

Asmaa Cherraf-Bonneville: The 2026 edition, to be held on June 17 and 18 at the Carrousel du Louvre, will be a major strategic gathering, particularly anticipated by European industry players.

Independent brands, major groups, manufacturers, formulators and experts will come together to co-create tomorrow’s icons. This edition will be marked by an exceptional synergy: welcoming, alongside us, Édition Spéciale by Luxe Pack, creating a direct bridge between cosmetic formulation and sustainable luxury packaging.

What is the promise made to both visitors and exhibitors?

Asmaa Cherraf-Bonneville: Our promise is built around three fundamental pillars:

Business: providing an ultra-targeted networking platform that encourages face-to-face exchanges between decision- makers and experts, essential for building trust and forging partnerships between brands (indies and majors) and suppliers.

• Content: acting as a forward-looking think tank through high-level conferences and workshops decoding emerging trends and technological breakthroughs.

• Experience: offering an immersive and convivial experience, punctuated by the IT Awards, the Beauty Tank competition dedicated to emerging brands, and exclusive highlights throughout the event.
Does innovation actually take place at the show?

Asmaa Cherraf-Bonneville: Absolutely. The show is the space where concepts become industrial realities. It is here that exhibitors unveil their latest ingredients and hybrid textures. The IT AWARDS illustrate this perfectly, having rewarded since 2012 the most disruptive advances in formulation, packaging and accessories.

What are the major Make-up innovation trends?

Asmaa Cherraf-Bonneville: In 2026, innovation is driven by two major revolutions. Operational AI on the one hand, which will be featured in our content. Artificial intelligence is becoming a true professional prerequisite in R&D, notably enabling reverse design, meaning formulation developed from a defined performance objective.

Hybridisation and sustainability on the other hand. The boundary between skincare and make-up is fading in favour of multifunctional, eco-designed formulas aligned with the requirements of clean beauty and the circular economy.
