- Elodie Carpentier is the driving force behind a true plant based revolution. With more than 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and following the birth of her daughter June, she turned toward products with no compromise for her own health and that of her child. Passionate about botany and art history, she developed a strong interest in plant based pigments derived from dye plants, known for their coloring properties as well as their health benefits. In 2020, Elodie founded Le Rouge Français alongside her husband and partner Salem Ghezaili, creating the first makeup and skincare House dedicated to plant based pigmentation, a patented global innovation. She then developed her own cosmetic formulations through an in house Research and Development structure, obtaining certifications such as COSMOS Organic and PETA approved Vegan, while excluding controversial ingredients such as titanium dioxide. A committed player within the French Tech and GreenTech ecosystems, she aims to transform the entire color industry by introducing plant based alternatives to sectors including automotive, aeronautics, fashion and eyewear. Appointed as a Climate Champion within the Coq Vert community of Bpifrance, she represents France at the G20 2025 in South Africa, contributing to international recommendations on biodiversity and health. Elodie was also a finalist in the latest BFM Académie, recognized as a Green Vogue face and awarded the national FWE40 prize for high growth women entrepreneurs. Today, Le Rouge Français stands as the first makeup House to adopt a regenerative economy model, integrating positive environmental actions at every stage of its value chain, from field to finished product. With strong international expansion, the brand is establishing itself as a reference in plant based makeup and is distributed in leading department stores, niche perfumeries, spas, hotels and palaces, offering an exclusive experience that combines excellence and naturality.
